Looking to improve speed? Agility? Cutting technique? Improve acceleration and deceleration mechanics?
The THIRST Summer Speed And Agility Camp is aimed to improve all these qualities over the course of four group training sessions.
Training sessions will be held outside, to work on quickness, power, speed, and explosion for a variety of sports. Sports that can benefit include football, basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, volleyball, as well as track and field athletes.
Each session will be instructed by Coach Brandon Smitley, MS CSCS USAW CPT.
Coach Brandon has spent over a decade working with athletes and personal training clients. He’s spent time with Purdue University, Indiana State University, and North Carolina A&T State University. He’s also helped professional athletes, as well as dozens of high school athletes go play at the next level. He holds his Master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning from Indiana State University, and his Bachelor’s degree in Health and Fitness from Purdue University.
Each session will be instructed with a proper preparation and warm up, technique for the day for a particular focus, and then corresponding training to build those qualities and practice the mechanics so that it can be implemented in practice and in games. Finally, the group will break down to compete and work on implementing them in live scenarios.
*These will be held outside, so please come prepared. If weather does not cooperate, we will move indoors into the facility.*
